The Metal Shop is proud to announce that we are up and running with our brand new Fortus 400 by Stratasys 3D printer. As company we are looking to keep up with the newest technologies and adding the 3D printer does this for us. We can now offer our clients the ability to turn around prototype parts with a very quick turn around time. If the client can provide us with a 3D model saved as .stl file we can tool up the part and start printing in short order. The possibilities of of uses for this machine are up to the imagination of the designer. Difficult angles and hidden features can be printed where a standard machining procedure would not be able to complete it. We can offer two types of material, ABS and Polycarbonate. ABS is good for all around prototyping and short run production parts.
